As our stallion *Sandman is homozygous for curls we have the opportunity to handpick mares that will be excellent crosses with him to produce the kind of all around athletic Curly horses that buyers want.
As we advance in our breeding program and goals, the number of outcross mares that we use has become smaller and we have become even more focused on using ONLY exceptional quality mares to improve on our Curlies.

Poplar's Sea Pearl
2005 registered, foundation Appaloosa mare, 15 hh. With her snowcap Appaloosa colour, Pearl will be homozygous for colour (100% colour producer) and she is a lovely, young athletic horse that we very much look forward to training to ride and enjoying her as a saddle horse!
Spring of 2010 Pearl will be bred to *Sandman for a 2011 foal. This foal will be available for sale inutero - if interested, please contact us early as all our appaloosa foals sell quickly.

Mirage - purebred Arabian
RJ Light Serenade (aka Mirage)
1993 Purebred Arabian - 14.1 hh. Mirage is one of my very favorite riding horses. I love to take her out on the trails and we have ridden a few endurance rides as well. She is fast and competitive, with a "quirky" temperament that I adore. She is gentle and easy to handle, but a real go getter under saddle.

Dutch Warmblood/Arabian mare
Legacy - 2004 Dutch Warmblood/Arabian cross. A lovely mare with fabulous movement and temperament.
Legacy is well started under saddle and is just a joy to ride and handle. Dressage will be her forte, but she also has the ability to do endurance and in the summer of 2009 I did take her to three endurance events where she was just so fun to ride and handle.
In 2008 she produced with *Sandman a really exceptional Curly colt *Sundancer (aka Sandor). This colt has gone to the Skygazer Ranch as a stallion prospect with us retaining a few breedings.
